You may want to think twice before hiring your local handyman.
Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve seen a lot of people shifting gears in their careers and starting their own businesses. Obviously as business owners we believe in the entrepreneurial spirit. Our owners Rob Baughman and Noah Stewart had the desire to start their own business; and they did! They opened the doors to Remodel 615 by focusing on what they do best: residential remodeling. Over the last couple of years, they have built a strong company with nearly 30 employees, including a full design team whose focus is to do quality work while providing the best possible experience for their customers.
Unfortunately, we have inherited many projects over the last few years that were taken on by individuals with a little experience, a few tools and a truck and who were unable to complete the project. Your neighborhood’s favorite handyman may be able to install the cabinets you found at Lowe’s, but that doesn’t mean he has the expertise to help you create a brand-new kitchen that maximizes space and gives you the open floor plan you’ve been dreaming of. When you work with Remodel 615, you gain access to a full design team who will meet with you and will help you achieve the kitchen of your dreams. A handyman may be great for a small project, but understand that when something unexpected occurs (an illness or other family emergency), it may limit his ability to complete the job.
Our best advice? When it comes to a home remodel, take the time to find the right person for the job. There are several things you should consider.
Be sure to ask:
- Do they have a history of reliability in the contracting industry?
- Do they have the proper licensing?
- Do they carry all the necessary insurance?
- Do they provide timely communication?
- Is their pricing competitive?
- Is their project timeframe reasonable?
- In the event of an emergency, is there a back up plan to keep your project on track?
When you take the time to ask these questions, you should be able to get a clearer picture and be able to secure a trustworthy firm to execute the renovation of your dreams.
Each project undertaken by Remodel 615 goes through our unique process so that at each stage, the entire team can track the project’s progress and, if necessary, can pick up the project where it left off. This multi-layered system allows for a clean handoff at each stage of the project.
The end result?
