Remodel 615 restored the porch of this Mt. Juliet, TN home after it had settled over 2 inches. To level this beautiful front porch, we raised the floor and added 6 x 6 reinforcement posts. We then updated the deck, replacing it with Trex transcend decking and a Trex-fanned staircase.
To give this home a facelift, we updated several features with cedar to give it a fresh look! We added rough Sawn cedar rails, skirting, and shutters. We then replaced the vinyl siding on the three dormers and replaced them with sealed Cedar shake shingles to ensure the color will last.
We finished up the project by installing 6-inch tongue and groove spruce beadboard ceilings, and added ceiling fans to make relaxing on the front porch more comfortable on a warm Middle Tennessee Day.
